🌟 After using this chat mat, your students will be able to say who is in their family and describe them with adjectives in a fluent conversation

This action-oriented interactive Chat Mat features over 50 terms with accompanying audio and is centered on the CEFR Family theme. A detailed vocabulary sheet is included, which I recommend sharing at the start of your unit.

Adjectives have been carefully selected from recognizable cognates (mots-amis), making them easy for students to remember and apply—especially helpful for beginners.

This Chat Mat is designed to guide students step-by-step as they introduce family members in conversation, featuring question-and-answer prompts to support them. With built-in audio, students can practice pronunciation before speaking or even during partner activities if they’re unsure of how to say a word.

This product includes:
• An online, interactive chat mat with 50 clickable audio recorded by a native speaker
• Color + B&W printable versions of the chat mat
• Color + B&W printable vocabulary list from which most of the terms were selected
• A direct link to the online activity that you can share with your students - no passwords or login required for your students

This activity works best on a computer or tablet.
